Most four-year universities and colleges require a standardized admission test, usually the ACT or SAT. Indiana's four-year universities accept test scores from both the ACT and SAT for admissions. Along with essays, test scores and GPAs, colleges also look at what classes students took in high school. They aren't looking for the "easy A," but want to see how you challenged yourself. Don't let the thought of writing an essay stop you from applying for a scholarship or completing a college application. It's not as hard as it might sound. And, once you've written one essay, you can use it in different forms for many applications. Indiana e-Transcript sends high school transcripts electronically to the colleges, universities and scholarship funds. The free service is provided to Indiana students and families by ISM Education Loans, in partnership wit the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the Indiana Department of Education. |
