Transferring college credit

Check out TransferIN.net. It is being developed as the state of Indiana's official source for information on transferring college credit across campuses and institutions

Transfer credits are course credits that move from one college or university to another.

Students can sometimes use credits completed for an associate's degree towards a bachelor's degree. For example, course credit in writing, math, literature, social science and biology at a community college can often transfer to a four-year college.

Before you sign up for coursework at a two- or four-year college or university, it is a good idea to work with a college counselor to be sure the credits will transfer to other colleges or universities in the area or state.

If you are transferring to a new college or university and would like to see if your previous coursework will transfer, make sure to ask your admissions counselor or new advisor if you can apply that credit to your new degree program.
