What to bring 

The items in the following list, although not necessities, will be helpful for students who are living away from home for the first time.

  • Alarm clock/radio
  • Telephone calling card or cell phone
  • Shower thongs or flip flops
  • Insulated coffee mug and lid (or cup or glass)
  • Sewing kit
  • Tool kit with a hammer and nails, tacks and super glue
  • First-aid kit with decongestant, cough suppressant, cough drops and aspirin
  • Bulletin board
  • Dry-erase message board
  • Collapsible drying rack for clothes and towels
  • School supplies, including pens and pencils, paper, tape, calculator, stapler and stamps
