Preparing
Most four-year universities and colleges require a standardized admission test, usually the ACT or SAT. Indiana's four-year universities accept test scores from both the ACT and SAT for admissions.
Core 40 is Indiana's college prep curriculum that also plays a role in determining the amount of financial aid a student will receive for college.
Taking these tests are great ways to prepare for the ACT and SAT.
Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level courses offered in high school. The classes explore subjects in greater depth and at a faster pace than traditional high school classes.
Students earn dual credits for classes that meet both high school and college requirements. Dual credit courses are taught in high school, at local colleges and through distance education.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program is a study option administered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The IB Diploma Program is a comprehensive and balanced 11th and 12th grade curriculum and assessment system that requires students to study courses across all disciplines.
Precollege summer programs are for middle and high school students who want to spend time on a college campus in an academic setting. They're a great way to discover new talents, gather new skills and meet new people.
