The first five years of your child's life are a time of tremendous physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth. Children need love, nutrition, social and emotional security, and opportunities to gain skills that will prepare them for success in school.

Learn More offers a wealth of resources to help you support and encourage your growing child.

Every month of a child's first five years is filled with discoveries about themselves and the world around them. Find out what to expect in this exciting time.
By supporting your child's early attempts to explore the world, you can encourage a life-long love of learning. These simple activities can become part of your daily routine.
A child’s ability to hear and talk starts developing even before birth. Speech or language skills are essential to learning, and problems caught early are less likely to persist or get worse.
Reading is the foundation of every single academic skill, so set a goal of reading to your child at least 20 minutes each day. When reading to a child, point out “sight” words and practice spelling them together.
