Between choosing your own classes and planning your own schedule, you’re in complete control.

PLANNING CHECKLIST FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS

The next four years are the most important. The following checklist will help you to be prepared for what’s ahead. Read through the list items and follow the links to work through each one.

1. Read Learn More GRAD

Take some time to read through the Learn More GRAD magazine. It’s a magazine with tips to make the most of your college experience. You can download a copy here.

2. Create a college completion plan

Meet with your college advisor to create a plan to ensure you complete college on time and take all the necessary courses and electives to earn the degree you want. Learn more about college completion plans here.

3. Commit to 15 hours each semester

You should plan to complete 15 hours each semester so you stay on track to finish your degree on time. These will save you money and help you get into your career sooner. Find out more about graduating on time here.

4. Get involved on campus

Getting involved in campus is a great way to meet new people, enjoy new activities, and learn skills that could help you in your career. Most college campuses offer a variety of activities to choose from. Learn more about getting involved on campus here, or find your college on the Indiana college map to explore the activity offerings on campus.
